I recently had to claim for my two suitcases that were damaged from a flight from Sydney to Hanoi via Saigon. I emailed receipt and pictures of the damage. I did not hear from the company for a few days. Then I received an email telling me that my claim was processed & the money would be in my account next week. The money was in two days later. This was all achieved without phone calls. I must be the lucky one & am very happy with my experience with this company.

Like others if I could provide a lower rating I would. It’s taken over 3 months to process a straightforward claim…only because I dedicated over 10 hours to phoning them, waiting on hold and speaking to multiple different individuals to move things along. Don’t bother with emails. And don’t choose the call back option. You’ll get nowhere. The complaints email with Tokyo Marine (provided by the company on below thread) will also not result in a response.

Warning- if your holiday is cancelled due to an EARTHQUAKE they won’t refund your accommodation costs overseas as well as your emergency accommodation and related expenses (meals, taxis) you forked out mid route as per their advice! It’s one or the other. Their ‘advice’ has left me $1400 out of pocket as I was told to book emergency accommodation and save all my receipts.

How they can continue to operate is baffling. Steer clear!

Claim process is not at all transparent and takes really long to process. Communication is not up to mark .

Submitted a claim for damage to phone during my over seas travel. Claim was for 1100$ or so but awarded only 300$ .

Glad I arrived back safely to Australia , if I had to rely on these guys for any other over seas claim . They would have left me stranded.

Avoid them .

I actually have never used you guys but given the sheer amount of 1 star reviews, I will be avoiding this company.

I am travelling to Thailand next week from Sydney with my family of 6, and need an insurance policy that can cover most things in case of emergency.

Stumble across world2cover and honestly if there was a better advertisement for another insurance company, it’s the hefty amount of negative reviews about this company.

I’m looking into Woolworths’s travel insurance. Sort out those negative reviews!!!

This company is a complete SCAM, avoid at all cost. I raised a claim 2 months ago and have yet to receive a response. They will happily take your money and provide you with no cover. I have emailed over 20 times over the last 6 weeks and have heard nothing. You cannot reach them via phone either. My car was broken into a very distressing event whilst being overseas and they just add to that stress. Now I have to report to ASIC and AFCA. Will also make sure to report to their payment gateway and compare the market to shut these scammers down.
