Wanted to give higher stars but the food was hit and miss and service was just ok. The bad: The sour cherry cocktail was def a miss and very underwhelming, could hardly taste the sour cherry. Also the pistachio/baklava cheesecake I heard so much about was also a disappointment. The waitress didn’t take our order for both drinks and only brought one. She also felt standoffish the whole evening. The good: the grilled food was pretty good including the grilled broccolini, very tasty. The highlights were definitely the first two dishes from the photos including the halloumi. All in all I would try other Turkish grills before coming back here with the hope of a more consistent experience.

I recently visited Izgara for the first time, and it was such a memorable experience! The Turkish bread was incredibly crispy and paired perfectly with their hummus. The char-grilled chicken kebab stole the show with its perfect blend of taste and presentation. The beef rump cap şiş kebab was equally delightful—juicy, fatty, and full of savory flavor.

We ended the meal with their muhallebi, a sweet pudding with crispy textures, which was a perfect dessert to close the evening. The mocktails, Apricot Hi-Ball and Pomegranate Sour, were refreshing and balanced, adding a nice touch to the meal.

The restaurant also offers set menu options starting at $69 per person, which is a great value for the quality and variety of food. Highly recommended for an authentic and delightful Turkish dining experience!

I went to Izgara for dinner, and the highlights of the meal were the bread and eggplant. The baklava was decent, but I found it a bit hard to finish due to too much cream cheese. I think it’s best enjoyed when shared, especially with coffee.

Small portions for what you pay for. Though the service was nice, I think we weren’t completely amazed by most of the items we ordered. The pumpkin cauliflower was surprising sweet and flavourful. Along with the cheesecake baklava which was perfectly sweet and would be the two items we recommend trying.

A really good Turkish dinner that started with a delicious light and peachy cocktail (the Peach Americano) which comes with a yummy dried peach slice on top.

Foodwise, everything was tasty - we ordered the bread (served warm and crispy) which went well with the smoked labneh, as well as the chicken kebab and lamb kofte.

The highlight of the meal was actually dessert. I'd expected to enjoy the baklava cheesecake, but it was the katmer that stole the show! It's a warm, crispy layered filo pastry filled with sweet pistachios and kaymak, topped with ice cream. The hot/cold contrast was delicious. The cheesecake was decent, but the katmer wins hands-down!
