These are one of the few places that deserve a special 6th star.  Everything was much better than expected. The service was the best we have had in Sydney. The waiter was so attentive and helpful and full of knowledge.  The food was incredible. Not a single dish was anything less than 5 stars.  We had a lovely window seat, so that also added to the atmosphere. A large part of the menu was gluten free and some parts could be made gluten free.  And to my surprise, it was very reasonably priced.

Excellent experience. The crispy lamb belly was 11/10. One of the best entrees I’ve ever had. Simple but balanced use of a not so commonly used part of the lamb - extraordinary flavour. Bone marrow was excellent and the pork neck was also next level, following the same style. Great wine list. All the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Beautiful ambience with live jazz trio!

I went for a dinner with my friends, couldn’t have a better night. The food is really good and they propose shared menus giving you a chance to taste the different plates. The cocktails are delicious and creative and the staff is lovely, thanks Rick and Rossella for an amazing experience

Initally scrambling to find a place for Valentine's and then running late for our reservation, we were met with the most accommodating and friendly staff at ESQ, we felt immediately at ease, the experience was seamless from atart to end. They made our evening perfect—delicious food, amazing drinks, and impeccable service. I couldn’t recommend them more highly and can’t wait to return. Thank you!"

It's not often that a restaurant pulls off exceptional food and amazing wine and incredible service but ESQ certainly delivered tonight! Each dish was sensational in its own right (I cannot recommend the tempura eggplant and the steak tartare highly enough, and if you like whisky, you will never regret ordering the apple tart glazed with whisky!). The wine was really well matched and delicious. And something that really stood out was how friendly, open and helpful each and every member of the staff was. It was noticeably friendly service which is such a delight. I can't wait to come back!
