I had the most unforgettable night at ESQ Bar + Dining — I proposed to my fiancée here last night, and it couldn’t have gone more perfectly! Huge thanks to Rick and the entire team for being so incredibly helpful and supportive. They went above and beyond — helping to capture the moment with videos and photos, and keeping everything under wraps to make sure it was a complete surprise.

The atmosphere was amazing, the service top-notch, and the food was outstanding — I especially loved the tempura eggplant and the steak, both absolutely delicious.

10/10 experience. Highly recommend for a special night out or any occasion you want to make truly memorable. Thank you again, ESQ team! 💍✨

I recently visited ESQ and spent over $250, hoping for a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. The food was genuinely good, and the customer service was warm and attentive—staff did everything they could to make us feel welcome.
Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere really let the experience down. The air conditioning wasn’t working, and the heat inside was quite overwhelming. Even the staff were visibly sweating, and I felt bad seeing them work so hard in such uncomfortable conditions. It made it difficult to fully enjoy the meal or relax.
For the price point, a comfortable dining environment is a basic expectation. While the food and service were solid, the lack of proper ventilation made the overall experience fall short. I truly hope management addresses this soon, as it has the potential to be a great spot when comfort matches the quality of food and service.

We had the most unforgettable night at this amazing restaurant! The service was absolutely excellent, and the vibe was just perfect — warm, cozy, and full of love. My fiancé proposed to me here last night, and it was truly one of the most touching and magical evenings of our lives.

A very special thank you to Rick, who went above and beyond by coordinating with my fiancé for months to plan this beautiful surprise. Everything was executed flawlessly, and we felt so cared for throughout the entire night.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts — we’ll cherish this memory forever and will definitely be back to celebrate more milestones! 💍❤️

These are one of the few places that deserve a special 6th star.  Everything was much better than expected. The service was the best we have had in Sydney. The waiter was so attentive and helpful and full of knowledge.  The food was incredible. Not a single dish was anything less than 5 stars.  We had a lovely window seat, so that also added to the atmosphere. A large part of the menu was gluten free and some parts could be made gluten free.  And to my surprise, it was very reasonably priced.

Atmosphere was great! Great jazz music and the bartender made the tiramisu cocktail we requested even though it wasnt on the menu. Steak was great, but the eggplant tempura was a bit one dimensional. Overall a lovely atmosphere!
