🚫 Strong Warning: Avoid Apollo Campervan Hire at All Costs! 🚫

My recent rental experience with Apollo Campervan Hire was an unmitigated disaster, and I strongly advise against entrusting them with your travel plans. Brace yourself for a narrative of incompetence and neglect.
Rental Process: Picture this: I specifically requested a cozy two-seater layout from Hippy Campers via Campervan Rental Shop. What did I get? A clunky four-seater Apollo monstrosity. And thus began the saga of being tossed between apathetic representatives like a hot potato. Campervan Rental Shop pointed fingers at Apollo, who, in turn, shuffled me around like a deck of cards. No one took responsibility; everyone passed the blame.
Vehicle Condition: Now, let's talk about the sorry state of the vehicle they dared to call roadworthy. From the get-go, it was evident that maintenance was a foreign concept to Apollo. Worn-out tires? Check. Filthy interior reminiscent of a dumpster? Double check. And let's not forget the electrical system, which seemed to have a vendetta against functioning properly. Oh, and did I mention the leaking roof? It turned our adventure into a soggy mess, damaging our belongings and dampening our spirits.
Customer Service: Diane from the Sydney office deserves a special mention for her stunning lack of helpfulness. Promises of callbacks? Empty. Follow-ups? Non-existent. And my formal complaint? Lost in the void of indifference. Despite their alleged commitment to respond within 14 days, the silence is deafening. It's abundantly clear that Apollo's idea of customer service is as mythical as their namesake.
In summary, Apollo Campervan Hire's performance was a spectacular display of failure. For the hefty price tag attached, you'd expect more than a comedy of errors and sheer incompetence. Spare yourself the agony and seek alternatives. Your sanity (and your wallet) will thank you.

Update: If you are still reading this, you will want to know more. The fun does not stop! You will now notice that Apollo have been kind enough to reply and pretend like they care, asking me reach out to there customer service team over at thlonline. They were also kind enough to turn off the option for me to reply, so I am writing it here. In short, I have contacted all known contacts, connections and anyone else I could think of to resolve this matter and give them constructive feedback. Including thl. All of which have either lost all of their fingers and cannot type or pick up a phone, or have all disappeared into the ethos. Who knows at this point. This is day 25 of the silence. How long can they ignore me?

Everything worked out great! We picked up the campervan in Adelaide and dropped it off in Sydney. Vehicle was clean and we had a great 1 month trip in Australia. The staff were very nice at both locations. Thank you very much!

Can 100% recommend Apollo campervans! Spent  wonderful 10 days in our van travelling from Cairns to Sydney. We had everything we needed. Thank you!

We took a 6 days trip down south Jervis Bay, South Durras, Jindaybe and Canberra. The car condition is excellent.travelled with my husband, mum and 2 kids. Bed is comfortable even for my mum. We hit the sea, the mountain top and finally the city.  We were late to return. Dianne and Joe welcome us with a smile despite being late. The check out was pretty fast and efficient.
